Remanded to COA by Supreme Court
Physical evidence destroyed.
Rape kit never sent to lab till 4 yrs. after alleged incident. Vaginal smear appears to have been tampered with .
6 pgs of police report detailing nature of the unfounded rape withheld .
Original suspect composite withheld; "Victim" supplied with "new" sketch.
Complainant coached to give positive photo ID.  Failed corporeal lineup.
8/2/82 Colleen Bitterman Livingston Acquitted (Jury Trial)  11/1/85
Livingston County Authorities neither withheld nor fabricated evidence in this case.  Eskridge, however, coached complainant to give positive photo ID.
Records show that Jackson County destroyed the evidence from this (Livingston County) case.
6/20/83 Judy Coltrain Jackson Convicted (Jury Trial) 5/15/85 
Sentence - Life
Physical evidence destroyed against court order to retain all evidence.
Chain of physical evidence suspect.
Original suspect composite withheld; replaced with sketch drawn to look like Ewing.

Two pages of police report concerning suspect vehicle withheld.

Livingston County Authorities neither withheld nor fabricated evidence in this case.  Eskridge, however, coached complainant to give positive photo ID.
